Special thanks goes to Tracey McCormick, our tour escort. Her knowledge, calm demeanor, easy laugh, and flexibility were major factors in creating this memorable tour that for most of these students will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After meeting Tracey, I had complete confidence this tour would run smoothly and efficiently, which proved to be true

Kaleidoscope Adventures

Tracey was tremendous as a tour manager. She was professional, patient, and an invaluable facilitator – so well on top of everything and always helpful, cheerful and easy to work with.

West Island Youth Symphony Orchestra

Tracey was simply outstanding. She developed a great rapport with the students and went beyond the call of duty to accommodate everyone. I was particularly impressed with her knowledge of the Canadian war experience in Italy. I would gladly recommend Ellison, Tracey, and this tour to others

Belleisle Regional High School

Tracey is quite spectacular. She completely knows our school, our students and our staff. She is so easy to work with, so much fun and so incredibly diligent. It’s like asking someone to pass the butter at the dinner table … before you ask she has already placed it at your side. Tracey is highly organized and when a problem arises, she is quick to problem solve. She is kind with staff, understanding with students … a true class act. In my mind, Tracey is one of the highlights of every Europe tour MDHS participates in. I can’t say enough about her … she is a true gem.

Markham District High School

Our guide, Tracey McCormick, was a joy to know. Very professional. From start to finish, the tour ran smoothly. Our tour guides kept us in good spirits, despite the weather, and were patient and understanding in the most dire circumstances. Words cannot express how much respect we have for these remarkable young people. Tracey was always smiling, always willing and able to address our concerns and questions, and was sociable and alert even at midnight or 3am.

Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir

Everything went smoothly thanks to Ellison’s excellent planning and Tracey’s excellent managerial skills.  Our teachers were impressed with Tracey’s friendly demeanour and her ability to anticipate things that needed tweaking and making appropriate suggestions. She was very easy to work with!

Manager, Business Development | Year Started in travel: 2000

Giving students the opportunity to travel is one of the most rewarding experiences you can offer young people.  Not only does it enhance your curriculum, but also fosters self-confidence, independence, and curiosity in your students.

After graduating with a B.Ed. in French studies, my career led me into the wonderful world of independent schools and international education, working at the Canadian College Italy.  I joined Ellison Tours in 2006, after spending 6 years living in Lanciano, an ancient Roman city surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea.  It was an ideal setting for me to discover the country and become fluent in Italian.

While in Italy, I discovered tour managing, and quickly came to love the role.  Since then, I have escorted numerous high school and adult groups through Italy, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia.  The travel motivations of these groups were varied, and I have escorted educational tours, battlefield tours, choirs, orchestras, sports teams, and leisure travellers.  My personal travels have also taken me to Egypt, Thailand, Cuba, Alaska, and, my new favourite, Iceland!

Through travel, I have seen young people consider opportunities that they wouldn’t have known existed if they had stayed at home.  I look forward to helping you make the world your classroom.  Buon viaggio!

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.  So, thrown off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbour.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore. Dream. Discover.”
